Psychologist FSP
Ana holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminology from Fernando Pessoa University, Portugal.
Ana has experience in Criminology supporting young people who have experienced violence, which shaped her interest in how cultural and relational contexts influence adjustment to challenging life experiences. Her particular interests include migration and cross-cultural experiences, couples and relationship work, and women’s mental health.
Her clinical approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and incorporating techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness within a trauma-informed framework.
Her qualification in psychology is federally recognised in Switzerland, and she is a member of the Federation of Swiss Psychologists (FSP) and the Association Fribourgeoise des Psychologues (AFP/FPV).
Ana provides consultations in Portuguese, English and Spanish for children, adolescents, adults and couples.
