Rodrigo earned his degree as a psychologist at the University of Juiz De Fora (Minas Gerais State, Brazil) and a clinical master’s in Behavioral Medicine emphasizing cognitive-behavioral therapy for anxiety disorders at the (Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil).
He later did a scientific master’s and a doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Minho (Portugal). During this time he also provided mental health care at the university clinic, while he researched the efficacy of Narrative Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for treating depression in adults. As a researcher at the University of Bern, he is interested in improving the treatment for social anxiety disorder.
Rodrigo is registered as a psychologist with the Swiss Federation of Psychologists (FSP), at the Conselho Regional de Psicologia (CRP-04, Brazil) and he is an active member of the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR).
Rodrigo offers psychological counseling in Portuguese, English, and Spanish for adults and young adults.
