The Person Centered Therapy is a psychotherapeutic orientation based on congruence and authenticity, unconditional positive regard and empathy. In the therapeutic space, the person finds a space to discover and increase his/her competences. It is based on several techniques depending on the training the practitioner has chosen to pursue.
The humanistic approach emphasizes the internal experience of the “here and now”, an experience composed of all thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations. The acceptance and integration of this experience allows for the building of greater self-confidence and improving relationships with others.
